Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

Plain English: These terms license use of CommLocker™ and govern the free, limited, pre-release Android beta. There is no charge and no automatic conversion to a paid plan. Your code is tied to your email and cannot be shared.

1. Closed beta program

These Terms are between you and RecallText Limited Liability Company, the maker of CommLocker™. They govern your application for and participation in the closed Android beta.

The beta is limited to no more than 20 approved testers. Applying does not guarantee acceptance. We may approve, deny, pause, or end participation at our discretion.

2. Free, pre-release access

The closed beta is provided without charge. No payment card is required, there is no automatic renewal, and beta access will not automatically convert into a paid subscription.

CommLocker™ is pre-release software. It may contain errors, interruptions, incomplete features, or changes that affect availability or performance.

3. Access codes and accounts

If approved, you will receive an individual code associated with the email address used on your application. The code is personal, nontransferable, and may not be sold, posted, or shared. You are responsible for protecting it and notifying us if you believe it has been compromised.

4. Your responsibilities

Use CommLocker™ only for lawful purposes and only on devices, accounts, and communications you are authorized to access.
Follow applicable privacy, recording, employment, professional, and records-retention laws.
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, copy, resell, bypass access controls, or test security without written permission.
Maintain your own backups. Do not rely on beta software as the only copy of important information.

5. Your content and privacy

You retain your rights in the communications, notes, files, and other content you use with CommLocker™. You are responsible for deciding what to file and export and for having the legal right to use that content.

6. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback, you permit RecallText Limited Liability Company to use it without restriction or compensation to improve CommLocker™ and related products. This does not transfer ownership of your underlying communications or files.

7. Confidentiality

Unless we give written permission, do not publicly distribute nonpublic beta builds, access codes, internal instructions, or confidential technical information supplied to you. You may discuss your honest experience with the beta, but you may not disclose another person’s private information.

8. No professional advice or guaranteed outcome

CommLocker™ is an organization and record-building tool. It does not provide legal, compliance, real estate, tax, or other professional advice. It does not guarantee that a record will be complete, admissible, accepted by a third party, or sufficient for any dispute. The usefulness of a File depends in part on what the user chooses to include and how consistently the product is used.

9. Disclaimer and limitation

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE BETA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR AVAILABILITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECALLTEXT LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS, BUSINESS, OR OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM THE BETA. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Ending participation

You may stop participating at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for security, misuse, legal, operational, or program reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Before materially changing these Terms for active testers, we will provide notice through the email associated with the beta or through the product.
